OEM & ODM Outerwear Manufacturing

Wisp Outdoor supports outerwear manufacturing and product development for OEM and ODM projects. Bring an approved tech pack or use an existing style as a starting reference. Production arrangements and order capabilities are confirmed for each project.

Start with the right product family.

Our current catalog includes hardshell and softshell jacket directions, 3-in-1 systems, insulated styles, lightweight layers and outdoor pants. Use the dedicated collections to compare a relevant model before requesting a quote; outdoor gear categories can be explored in the product catalog.

An existing catalog direction is not a production commitment. The order specification must identify the exact fabric, fit, trims, colors, artwork, packaging and intended use. Product visuals are design references. Final materials, construction and performance requirements are confirmed through sampling and written approval.

OEM execution or development from a reference?

Ask for the development scope in writing. A logo change, a new pocket layout and a new material system are different tasks; they should not be treated as the same customization package.

A sample-led route to an agreed specification.

  1. Brief review: supply the style or product link, buyer role, target market, estimated quantity, size split, intended use and requested timing. Flag non-negotiable functional or legal requirements.
  2. Material and construction assessment: compare fabric options, seam treatment, zipper and trim choices. Availability, cost and test scope need confirmation before quoting a finished specification.
  3. Sampling and fit: agree the sample scope, measurements, revisions, color references and approval criteria. Confirm sampling cost and schedule rather than assuming a fixed turnaround.
  4. Production agreement: record the approved sample, bill of materials, measurement tolerances, artwork and packing instructions before bulk commitments.
  5. Release criteria: agree the inspection method, applicable test documents and shipment requirements for the actual product and destination.

What is evaluated before an order?

MOQ depends on fabric and trim availability, color splits, construction and the quantity per style. Delivery timing depends on sourcing, sample approval, production allocation and destination requirements. Neither has a universal value on this site; request written confirmation for your brief.

Waterproofness, breathability and sun-protection claims require the relevant test method and final material or garment evidence. Ask which test documents can actually be supplied for the selected order. Factory capabilities and any required test documents are confirmed for the selected product and destination market.

For a brand or importer project, use our buyer project guide to organize the commercial brief. For construction choices, read the hardshell vs softshell guide.
